Unable to run or install AppCheck due to the file missing: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll or mfc140u.dll

This message is due to invalid or broken installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 package.

If the issue persists, try follow steps:

1. Uninstall according to your operating system architecture:

- for 32bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) - 14.0.23506
- for 64bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) - 14.0.23506

2. Reboot your system.

3. Download and Install AppCheck again.
